Feeding time

It's lots of fun feeding the sheep. Many people think that all sheep need for a healthy life is grass, but in fact grass grows so poorly in the winter that they need to be fed during the winter months. Normally they have access to as much hay as they want (hay is just dried grass that preserves all the nutrients, so a bit like us eating breakfast cereal or spaghetti). To give them all the nutrients they need, we feed them every day with a specially balanced sheep mix and a mineral lick which provides salt and trace elements. It's lots of fun feeding them as they really love their food!
