Volunteer information
Some information about the sanctuary is included below which may be useful for volunteers planning to feed and water the sheep.
Access to the field
Please make sure that you have the combination for the lock on the gate. When you arrive, please place the orange bucket on top of the fence post to let the landlord know that you are in the field.
Feeding
Robin is eating his special food in the little pen next to the trailer. Inside the trailer you will find sugar beet pellets which need to be soaked, so this is the first thing to do - use about a third of a bucket of water and the appropriate amount of seed. For the coarse sheep mix, use about 9 scoops for each of the big paddocks, spread out evenly among the troughs, and about 3 for the small paddock. The paddock with the trailer and the far paddock each need roughly one and a half bales of hay spread evenly in the feeders, and the small paddock needs one. Please be careful to take away the pink baler twine once you have cut it, so that it doesn't get tangled in legs etc.
Water
There is one blue water bucket for each paddock. Please empty out any dirty water and replace with clean. The water flow from the hose can be started by detaching the connector (pull it back to release it).
